    This Privacy Policy explains how Alex Tarapowski ("we", "us", "our"), author of The Sleeping Goddesses saga, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the website alextarapowski.com (the "Site") and the social-media publishing tools we operate for our own author accounts (together, the "Services").

    1. Who we are

    alextarapowski.com is the official author website of Alex Tarapowski. It presents the book series, author information, and links to retailers. We also operate an internal content pipeline that publishes our own promotional videos (book trailers) to our own social-media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

    2. Information we collect

    • Information you provide: if you sign up for a bonus chapter or newsletter, we collect the email address (and any name) you submit.
    • Usage data: standard, non-identifying analytics about how the Site is used (pages viewed, approximate region, device/browser type), collected via cookies and similar technologies.
    • We do NOT collect data from visitors' social-media accounts. The Site does not ask visitors to log in with TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, and does not read, store, or process any TikTok user data belonging to visitors.

    3. Social-media integrations (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)

    We use the official APIs of TikTok (Content Posting API and Login Kit), Instagram, and YouTube solely to publish our own content to our own author-owned accounts. Specifically:

    • Authorization is granted once, by the account owner (Alex Tarapowski), via each platform's standard OAuth flow.
    • The only access token we hold is for our own author account; it is stored securely and used only to upload our own videos and their captions.
    • The scopes we use are limited to what is required: for TikTok, user.info.basic (to identify the owner account) and video.publish (to post our own videos); for YouTube (Google), https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload only, used solely to upload the owner's own videos to the owner's own YouTube channel via the YouTube Data API v3 (videos.insert).
    • We do not access, collect, sell, or share any other person's social-media data.

    Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not read, collect, store, sell, or share any other Google or YouTube user data, and we do not access any other users' data.

    4. How we use information

    • To send the bonus chapter, release news, and occasional updates you signed up for.
    • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
    • To publish our own promotional content to our own social channels.

    We do not sell your personal information.

    5. Third-party services

    The Site relies on third-party providers, each with its own privacy policy: our website host, our email/newsletter provider, web-analytics, and the social platforms and retailers we link to or integrate with (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Amazon, Goodreads).

    6. Cookies

    We use essential cookies to run the Site and may use analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

    7. Data retention

    We keep newsletter/email data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

    8. Your rights
